The Cook Book of Life

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

How about a cook that gives you the recipes for every meal in life? Except this time, the recipes are procedures to get to your goal. Gives you the procedures so you know what to do and what not to do to get to your goals. A simple cook book of life you'd read whenever you're about to make a life changing decision so you know what to expect at the end.

Most times, when going into a new adventure, we already have a scene of what to expect, how the process is going to occur and perhaps, how it'll end. However, one thing is for sure, things don't always go as planned. Maybe the ending will be as we had envisioned in our mind's, but the process won't be exactly what we thought it'd be. And sometimes, the ending is even better, or worse than we had visualized.

A cook book of life could make everything easier. Imagine you want to be the president of your country. Let's say you look up ex President Barack Obama, or Nelson Mandela, you want to be as great as they were or even better. So a cook book of great presidency is provided to you. It'll include what the president you aspire to be like did to get to where he is and most especially, it'll include what he didn't do; hence, you'll know what he left out that has to be done and hence, you make yourself a better version of him.

A cook book of life would make life a lot easier for most, if not all of us, but times change and individuals are different in fate and destiny. What worked for someone a year ago doesn't necessarily mean it'll work for you too. As times change, old methodologies develop into faster, better and more advanved ones. If there was a cook book of life, new inventions would very little and there would be little or no evolving. On the other hand, getting to where you aspire to be, means a lot more when you personally face different obstacles during the process. The journey becomes your story.

Perhaps if we could have the answers to all the questions we ever asked, in a book, we'd understand life a little more. But I'll end this post with a question, would you prefer to have a cook book of life, or would you prefer to go on with the uncertainty that life brings you sometimes?
